North Zone Investor Interview in Malta – Case Study

Updated: Oct 23

We were recently commissioned by North Zone, a venture capital firm based in London, to film an interview for their Annual General Meeting.

The subject was Oege de Moor, an investor with North Zone, based in Malta. Unlike most of the video work we do, this one had a single screening, in front of the community it mattered most to, with no do-overs once it played.

The Brief

North Zone needed a film that would:

  • Cover Oege's own company, his relationship with North Zone, and why he'd chosen to invest in the firm

  • Work as a standalone piece, with no host or narration to lean on

  • Be ready to show to the room in one sitting, first time, no second cut

  • Come together fast: the booking was last-minute

On Location in Sliema

Atanas flew out to Malta to shoot the interview, our first commission that's taken the crew outside the UK. The whole piece rested on capturing a confident, well-paced conversation on camera, then cutting it so it read as one coherent story rather than a stitched-together Q&A.

Delivery & Results

  • Edited and delivered within 24 hours of the crew landing back in the UK, in time for the AGM

  • Played to the room first time, no re-edits needed

  • Opened the door to more conversations about international and investor-facing video work

North Zone's Amanda Thickpenny, who booked the shoot, left this review afterwards:

I hired Atanas to film a last-minute video in Malta. He and Vanina responded right away and were super efficient. Our team LOVES the video, and he made me look good in front of my boss. Everyone is delighted with the final result. Atanas made what could have been a very stressful situation into a seamless and easy process for me.

Why This Works

For investor and boardroom video, timing is everything: the film usually gets one shot to land, on one day, in front of the people it matters to. That means working fast without cutting corners: clear briefing, efficient filming, and a quick turnaround from location to final edit.

If you need a video that has to work the first time it's shown, an AGM, an investor update, a conference stage, get in touch and let's talk about what that looks like.
